The second Cats trailer has landed.
You might remember the intense reaction to the first trailer for Cats earlier this year- it pretty much left everyone speechless.
With Idris Elba, Judi Dench and James Corden, it has the makings of a great film but the random nature of famous faces attached to cat bodies is a bit too bonkers for some.
Tom Hopper, director of the King’s Speech and Les Misérables, is the mastermind behind the much-anticipated film with one of the main questions related to the use of CGI animation.
You’ll recognise some of movie land’s most revered names including Sir Ian McKellen but it must be said that seeing them in cat form takes a bit of getting used to.
There’s been a strong reaction to the latest trailer featuring Macavity the Mystery Cat (Idris Elba), Grizabella (Jennifer Hudson) and Old Deuteronomy (Judi Dench) to name but a few.
It lands on December 20 and judging by the hype thus far, you’re going to hear a lot more about this film release over the next few weeks.
Here’s what people had to say about the latest sneak peek…
The new Cats trailer looks just as nightmarish as the first.
And the movie’s coming out five days after Star Wars? Good luck with that.

The 2nd trailer for CATS MUSICAL THE MOVIE.
Can’t wait to watch it.
“It looks weird”, some say.
Yes! CATS, even the stage play, is never not weird. Even the book itself is weird.
That’s why we’re meowing it ???? pic.twitter.com/prLaaZx3NG

I am SO psyched about #Cats after seeing trailer 2. I’m gonna see it with my mum and I’m going to sing obnoxiously and I am SO EXCITED

Against my better judgment, I watched the new Cats trailer. Please send thoughts and prayers for my wellbeing

I just watched the new Cats trailer and I’m reasonably sure I’ll be hallucinating for the next 6 hours.
