See the £8k per night suite where Amal Clooney gave birth

Anna O'Rourke

Ah, celebs.

They’re just like us, except not at all.

The world learned yesterday of the birth of Amal and George Clooney’s twins, Ella and Alexander.

But if you thought Amal popped them out on a regular ward amongst a load of plebs, you’d be wrong.

The new parents booked a luxury birthing suite at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London for the birth, according to the Mirror.

It’s the same suite where Cheryl Tweedy gave birth to little Bear Payne back in March, the paper reports, and it’s pretty luxurious.

The private suite on the hospital’s Kensington wing offers 24 hour consultant care and one-to-one midwife support, as well as access to top specialists including Guy Thorpe-Beeston, who is surgeon-gynaecologist to the royal household and who helped to deliver Princess Charlotte in 2015.

It also has supersize TVs, WIFI, toiletries and a full-size bed for a partner.

Now, it does look nice and all, but the suite costs as much as £8,520 for consultant-led care or £10,300 for midwife-led care. Ouch.

We’d be hoping they wouldn’t charge double for twins.
