“I think the documentary made some really interesting points and gave us a lot to think about, and we really are,” he told reporters. “To hear that anybody that was hurt and offended by any character or vocal performance is really upsetting, that it was offensive or hurtful to anybody. “It’s an important conversation that we’re definitely having. It’s a lot to digest.”
Azaria’s comments have now led to reports that Apu’s character may be leaving the show after increasing pressure from viewers.
