“I suppose a ride is out of the question?”
The Snapper is nearly 25 years old, but such is its lasting appeal that it is always guaranteed a receptive audience any time it is shown on terrestrial TV in Ireland.
TV3 is showing it tonight at 9pm, so that’s our evening taken care of.
We reckon people will be tuning in in their droves for it – RTÉ decided to put it out as their midweek movie a few months back and it went down a treat.
Perhaps not surprisingly, #TheSnapper was trending on Twitter as viewers took their cue to once again express their appreciation for an Irish classic and revisit some of the many memorable quotes.
“Seven pounds, 12 ounces!”
"I haven't cried since I was a kid"
"Ya cried during the world cup"
"Sober! Sharon, sober! drunk doesn't count". ? ? #TheSnapper

'Suppose a ride is out of the question' is one of the best movie lines, actually the whole monologue is brilliant #TheSnapper
