Snowed in? There is a fantastic movie on RTÉ2 tonight

The best!

Storm Emma has seriously taken over the country.

And as we batten down the hatches for yet another night as the snow continues to fall – Met Éireann has issued another red weather warning until 9am tomorrow for specific counties. It’s certainly time to turn to the telly to see what’s on.

And LUCKILY, one of the best movie musicals of all time is showing on RTÉ2 tonight – hurrah!

Yes, Les Miserables will be showing at 9:35pm tonight. Haven’t seen it yet? Well, you are in for a treat.

Featuring a stellar line up, the film sees prisoner Jean Valjean (Hugh Jackman) freed after 19 years by Javert (Russell Crowe), the officer in charge of the prison workforce. Valjean promptly breaks parole but later uses money from stolen silver to reinvent himself as a mayor and factory owner. Javert vows to bring Valjean back to prison. Eight years later, Valjean becomes the guardian of a child named Cosette after her mother’s (Anne Hathaway) death, but Javert’s relentless pursuit means that peace will be a long time coming.

You can check out the trailer here.

It is most certainly one to watch!
