Some ’emotional’ new details about Toy Story 4 have emerged and we’re not ready

Right, we’ll admit it: we were slightly skeptical when Toy Story 4 was announced.

After all, Toy Story 3 had such a perfect ending, with everything seemingly tied up in a heartbreakingly nice bow as the toys went off with Andy’s neighbour, Bonnie.

Where could they really bring the story from there?

New details about Toy Story have emerged and it sounds like it’s going to be leaving us teary-eyed all over again.

Possibly more than that whole scene with the incinerator earlier in the film that left us all blubbering messes.

Tim Allen, who plays Buzz Lightyear, recently sat down with American chat show The Talk to talk about the “emotional” fourth instalment.

He even admitted he struggled to get through some of the scenes towards the end of the film.

He said:

“I gotta resist getting emotional. I don’t want to give it away, but this is an incredibly great story.

“It is so emotional, it’s so funny, it’s so big, the idea they’ve come up with, I’m startled. I couldn’t even get through the last scene.

“I would love to be a Washington leaker. I just can’t do it. I can’t give any more away. They’ve got great characters but a couple of scenes toward the end were really hard to get through.”

Toy Story 4 is due to be released in June 2019.
