SPOILER ALERT: There’s Going to Be a “Heartbreaking” Exit for This EastEnders Character

Last month it was confirmed that Timothy West would be leaving EastEnders and now the “heartbreaking” details of his character’s departure have been revealed. According to the Daily Star, Stan Carter is on the verge of telling his loved ones that he has terminal cancer and only has a matter of weeks to live. An insider told the publication: “When Timothy West signed up to play Stan we always knew that he would be leaving at the end of his contract. “To have someone of his calibre in EastEnders has been incredible. And there’s still a while to go yet. The scenes where he tells the family that he has cancer are heartbreaking.” Stan Carter (Timothy West) is leaving EastEnders. Stan’s news is part of the reason the Carters are in for a dramatic Christmas and will bring another ongoing storyline to the forefront (that being that Shirley is Mick’s mother, not his sister). But while Stan is going to be on his way out, his estranged wife Sylvie is due to arrive on the square. The source added: “Sylvie’s arrival is going to be huge for the Carters. “Stan is dying and they’re all facing up to the prospect of losing him when Sylvie turns up out of the blue. It’s going to be a huge time for them all.”
