However, it has since been revealed by actress Sadie Sink that the kiss "was not scripted" and that Stranger Things creators, the Duffer brothers, added it in because they knew she was "freaked out" by it.
In a behind-the-scenes movie currently airing on Netflix, the 15-year-old said:
"It was not written in the script. "One of you, I think it was you Ross (Duffer), said: 'Oh Sadie are you ready for the kiss?' and I said: 'What no that’s not in the script, that’s not happening.' "So the whole day I was stressed out thinking, wait, is this going to happen?"Duffer then added that the addition of the kiss was Sadie's "fault" because she had gotten so "freaked out" by the thought of it. The show's creator is now facing criticism online for his decision to add the kiss to the scene. https://twitter.com/TheBrittany_Be/status/927235149347028992 https://twitter.com/ajlobster/status/925369601671815169 https://twitter.com/ajlobster/status/925369703773671424 https://twitter.com/reyesravena/status/927377044903735302 https://twitter.com/seriouslyhilary/status/927303720257425408 Stranger Things season two is currently streaming on Netflix.
