Strictly Come Dancing’s Dianne Buswell has assured fans she is ready to dance again tonight after suffering a big fall during rehearsals.

The 30-year-old was said to have fallen eight feet after her partner, Dev Griffin, accidentally lost his grip while rotating her above his shoulders.

However, taking to Twitter this morning, she thanked her fans for their support and well wishes – and added the they were so excited to be performing tonight.

She said:

“morning everybody thank you for all the lovely msgs of concern. We had an accident key word being accident it was not devs fault at all these things happen.

“But great news is I’m fine and we both can not wait to dance tonight xxxx thanks again for your thoughts and well wishes.”

The fall is said to have happened during rehearsals for their performance to Aladdin’s Friend Like Me. Strictly source said Dev was “doubled over in panic” after what happened.

They told The Sun:

“Dev let her slip from his grasp and Dianne fell and landed on her head. It couldn’t have been worse. It was horrible to watch Dianne lying prostrate on the floor.

“Dev was desperate at what had happened. It was a total accident but he felt 100 per cent responsible.

“He was praying that there was no serious damage — the worst case scenario was that she had some internal head injuries.

“He was wringing his hands and just staring at the floor as Dianne was checked over.”

The Australian dancer was rushed to A&E. Doctors later diagnosed her with whiplash, and she was discharged from the hospital.
