Ellen Fitzpatrick

It’s back.

The line up for The Late Late Show is here and none other than Taoiseach Micheál Martin is set to join Ryan Tubridy on the couch.

Set to give an update on the current restrictions and managing the latest outbreak of Covid-19, Martin will be joined by an array of interesting guests this Friday.

As Operation Transformation is back in full swing, presenter Kathryn Thomas and the five new leaders for 2022 – John Ryan, Stefano Sweetman, Kathleen Hurley Mullins, Katie Jones and Sarah O’Connor Ryan will also make an appearance on the show.

The Late Late Show will also be home to a TradFest music session on this week’s episode, featuring some of the country’s most talented Irish musicians including Mike Hanrahan, Niamh Dunne, Dara and Mick Healy, Bridín, Mairead Ni Mhaonaigh, and Séamus and Caoimhe Ui Fhlatharta.

Martin is set to discuss the new restrictions that were announced this week, as from midnight tonight close contacts of confirmed cases who have received their booster and show no symptoms will no longer have to restrict their movements.

Martin has said that the government will not be reviewing the 8pm closing time before January 30th, with Tanaiste Leo Varadkar saying that these restrictions will be lifted on a phased approach next month.
