“We’ve been talking about it for ages. We’d all love to do it, but we’ll see what happens.”

It’s one of the best American teenager movies. It has the perfect amount of dirt, love and laughs. American Pie has given us countless quotes that have entertained us throughout the years and now it’s been revealed the cast are talking about doing a sequel.

It’s like all our pies arriving at once! Tara Reid was speaking with Closer magazine recently, saying: “We’ve been talking about it for ages. We’d all love to do it, but we’ll see what happens.”

Tara Reid played Vicky in the original 1999 comedy, she also came back for the sequels American Pie 2 (2001) and American Pie Reunion (2012).

Speaking about the film, she said: “So many actors were scared to make it at the time. They thought it went too far. But it’s ultimately a movie about awkward teens and it had so much heart in it.

“What I love about that movie is that there is no bullying or meanness. Lots of comedies these days are just mean.”

The actress has previously told OK! magazine the movie has been in talks for a while. “I’ve seen the directors and they said it’s going to happen, it’s just hard to get everyone’s schedules aligned.”

In other American Pie news, Stiffler’s mom is tipped to marry Finch if there is another movie. Since Tara revealed that there had been talks of a new film fans have flocked to Paddy Power to put some bets down on the next instalment.

According to Paddy Power, Finch becoming Stiffler’s stepdad has odds of 4/9. A spokesman for Paddy Power said: “The American Pie franchise is still as loved today as it was in 1999. Watching reruns of the series gives me a warm fuzzy feeling, kind of like a freshly baked apple pie.

“The third film may have been set around the wedding of Jim and Michelle, but a union between Finch and Stifler’s mum is the pairing we all want to see. Well, maybe not Stifler himself, but the rest of us anyway!”
