We tested B*Witched on their 90s girl band knowledge and it got competitive

I'll tell you what I want what I really really want.

Can you do better?

A few childhood dreams came true here at Her in the last few days. The most notable (in my opinion) is that I got to meet and spend ACTUAL time with B*Witched.

*Pauses for collective intake of jealous breath*.

Anyone who says they don’t know the hits off by heart is, quite frankly, a big fat liar. The thumping pop choruses, the sporadic Irish jigs, the awe inspiring double denim… they were a big thing, and I’ll fight (like me Da) anyone who says otherwise.

The good news is, they’re back, there’s new music on the horizon and everything is right with the world.

Edel, Keavy, Sinéad and Lyndsay will be headlining the Electric Ireland Throwback stage at Electric Picnic this year and speaking after the announcement B*Witched said:

“We are so excited to headline Electric Ireland’s Throwback Stage at Electric Picnic. It’s always brilliant to come back to Ireland and play to a home crowd.”

“We are really looking forward to breaking out the double denim and having the absolute craic. Rain or shine, it’s going to be an amazing day, and there’s more great acts to be announced. ‘C’est La Vie’ is like our baby so we’d love see it being brought back.”

That statement, although fulfilling, wasn’t enough for us 90’s nerds! So we absolutely had to get the ladies in for a special bonus feature of Girls With Goals to talk about what they’ve been up to in the two decades since they lit the pop charts on fire.

You can check out the full episode by clicking the link below. We’re chatting about what the fame was really like (5.36), what they’d all be doing if they hadn’t joined the band (1:50) and the all important quiz comes in at 11.55.

And, as we all know, Electric Picnic is completely sold out (sobs) but there is a way you can get your hands on tickets! So make sure you listen to the very end.
