It has been confirmed that hit television series Mrs Brown's Boys is to be made into a cartoon.
According to The Star, the animated version of the RTÉ One/BBC One sitcom is expected to enter production in the summer, with the cast recording their lines in front a live audience once the Mrs Brown's Boys film is released in June.
Cast member Rory Cowan, who plays Mrs Brown's son Rory, is quoted as saying “the logic is that it can be sent to all English-speaking countries, and dubbed so it can be used across the world”.
"It will be a mix of storylines we've seen on the main shows, as well as a few other things thrown in to make them different. The earliest we'll see it is in 2015. Recording the voices is the first part - the animation is what will take a long time."
