The first teaser for Netflix’s The Society is here and we’re already hooked

Netflix have shared the first teaser for The Society - and we're already hooked. Hailed as a contemporary take on Lord of the Flies - with just a splash of Gossip Girl -  it is one of those shows we just *know* we're going to be addicted to once it arrives on Netflix. Basically, it is about a group of young adults who find themselves transported to New Ham, a town in New England that is - in every way - identical to the one they grew up in. Only now, they are alone – both in the town and on the edge of a vast continent that seems very much like what the first Europeans might have called the “New World.” The Society is a modern retelling of the Lord of the Flies tale – this time with near-adults and with no magic to save them. They will either succeed by remaking the social order or they will perish by each other’s hands. The 10-episode first season will arrive on Netflix on May 10. The cast includes Rachel Keller, Kathryn Newton, Alex Fitzalan, Kristine Froseth, Jacques Colimon, Sean Berdy, Toby Wallace, and Gideon Adlon.
