The first trailer for the Ted Bundy biopic starring Zac Efron is here

Keeley Ryan

It’s a far cry from his High School Musical days.

The first trailer for the Zac Efron-starring Ted Bundy film, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, is finally here.

Over the last few moths, the 31-year-old actor has been sharing glimpses of his physical transformation into the notorious serial killer on social media.

But the first footage from the film shows Efron in action – and how he’s seemingly captured Bundy’s twisted charisma.

It has been said that Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile will be told from the perspective of Bundy’s longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer (played by Lily Collins), who denied the accusations against Bundy for years before ultimately turning him into the police.

Based off the trailer, it’s also going to explore the craze Bundy managed to create during his trial – which led many female admirers to send him love letters.

Kaya Scodelario will star as Carole Ann Boone, Bundy’s future wife whom he proposed to while she was on the stand at his trial.

Bundy confessed to 30 homicides committed in seven states between 1974 and 1978 but the true number of his victims is still unknown and could possibly be much higher.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile is set to premiere at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. It will be released in cinemas later this year.
