The Hills is returning for an anniversary special and LC is involved

The original reality TV show is back (albeit for a limited time).

Lauren Conrad and gang are returning for a one-off special The Hills: That Was Then, This is Now which will air on the 2nd August. LC announced the news via her Twitter account today but the other returning characters are being kept under wraps for now (fingers crossed Kristin makes an appearance).

Today is the 10th anniversary of The Hills! I am excited to announce that @MTV will premiere an anniversary special with me on Tuesday 8/2!

Speaking to MTV, Lauren said: "I am so excited to be returning home to MTV to commemorate the 10th anniversary of The Hills. Viewers watched me grow up and experience milestones on Laguna Beach and The Hills — and now they will get a first-hand look at my life today. I can’t wait for you to see the special on August 2!"
