The Lucy Beale storyline ran for almost a year.
According to reports the show is returning to the story this summer and there is another twist on the way after a witness comes forward.
Executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins apparently told the Radio Times: “We’d been resting the story a little bit to let everyone get a breather.”
Her half-brother Bobby was revealed as the killer.
He continued: “But it’s going to kick up a notch over summer with a big arrest over summer that’s going to take us through into September. And a few old faces are returning for that.”
In case you missed it (we don’t know how you could have) EastEnders bosses kept viewers guessing about Lucy’s killer for almost a year.
