The trailer for Avengers 4 has FINALLY arrived and things are looking pretty grim

Keeley Ryan

“Part of the journey is at an end.”

Almost as suddenly as Thanos’ snap at the end of Infinity War, the trailer for Avengers 4 has officially arrived – and so has the film’s title.

And it’s pretty ominous sounding, if we’re being honest.

The film, which is due to be released next year, is going to be called Avengers: Endgame.

Based on the trailer, things aren’t looking too good for our favourite superheroes.

Warning: spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War are below this photo. Just in case.

Basically, it’s going to pick up after the Snapocalypse, or, as it’s technically called, The Decimation, aka: the moment that Thanos successfully gathered all of the Infinity Stones and used his newfound powers to snap away half of the world’s population.

Including some of our favourite heroes.

And we can’t imagine that those who are left standing – including Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor – are going to be taking the loss of their friends too well.

The footage begins with Tony Stark, still drifting in space after being defeated by Thanos on Titan, as he sends a farewell message to Pepper Potts – before resignedly switching off his helmet.

The other surviving Avengers are seen morning their colleagues and friends, although it seems that Captain America and Black Widow have a plan to save the day – even if it does need a bit of work.

Just how are they going to defeat Thanos, though?
