There’s an animated version of The Grinch set for release this year

The trailer looks brilliant.

If you grew up loving the Grinch movie, then you'll be delighted to hear that a new movie is on the way. Based on the same storyline as the movie starring Jim Carrey, the Grinch will come to life once more on cinema screens this November. This time around it's an animation, and the main character will be voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch. The Grinch tells the story of a cynical grump who goes on a mission to steal Christmas from the local village people, the Whos of Who-ville, only to have his heart changed by a young girl’s generous holiday spirit. Each year, at Christmas, the Whos disrupt his tranquil solitude with their increasingly bigger, brighter and louder celebrations. When the Whos declare they are going to make Christmas three times bigger this year, the Grinch realizes there is only one way for him to gain some peace and quiet: he must steal Christmas. Jim Carrey's movie is a classic and still loved 18 years on, so we can't wait to see how this one turns out. Judging by the trailer it looks like it'll be brilliant.
