There’s another sequel of Love Actually on the way

Laura Holland

Just when we thought we were spoilt with the return of Love Actually, another one is on the way.

When the reboot aired as part of the Comic Relief Red Nose Day on March 24th, there were a few people missing, including Emma Thompson and Laura Linney.

Emma Thompson’s absence was due to scheduling and also because her on-screen husband Alan Rickman had since passed away.

There wasn’t any confirmation about why Laura wasn’t part of it but now it turns out that she will be back for a second installment for the US version of Red Nose Day.

According to Entertainment Tonight, she was up for doing it in the first place but director Richard Curtis couldn’t fit her storyline into the 12-minute slot. Instead, Laura will be part of the US version when it’s aired on NBC on May 25th.

Laura confirmed the news saying:

“I’d done something for the last Red Nose Day. So I’d kept in touch with Richard Curtis. And then he sent me an email, explaining this short film reunion. I said yes, obviously. How could I say no? And right away we were figuring out our schedules.

I have no idea what I’m doing yet. Not a clue.”

She’s due to start filming in April.
