There’s going to be a MASSIVE change to I’m a Celebrity this year

Keeley Ryan

It is the first time in more than a decade.

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! is well and truly underway – and, honestly, it’s been a great series so far.

Yes, we know, we’re only on Day 3, but we’ve already had Holly Willoughby make her presenting debut; a nail-biting Bushtucker Trial and some equally nerve wracking first challenges…namely the skydiving.

And there’s bound to be even more drama coming up with the new castmates joining the series.

Usually there are two late additions to the camp: last year, it was Iain Lee and Kecia Dugdale; in 2016, it was Danny Baker and Martin Roberts.

However, this year there is reportedly only going to be one – Noel Edmonds.

According to The Sunthe decision was made after bosses spent £600,000 to sign the ex-Deal or no Deal host.

This means that for the first time since 2007, there’s going to be 11 campmates instead of 12.

A source told the publication:

“Bosses for I’m A Celebrity spent so much on signing Noel for the show that there’s only 11 contestants planned this year.

“They have really pushed the boat out and splashed the cash more than ever before – meaning a change to the format had to be made.

“Harry Redknapp and Noel cost over £1million between the two of them and they’ve spent good money on the likes of Nick Knowles and Rita Simons too.”

Both Megan McKenna and Love Island’s Olivia Attwood had both been rumoured to be the 12th campmate this year.

However, the former Ex on the Beach star appeared on the first episode of the Extra Camp with Scarlett Moffatt, Joel Swash and Joel Dommettt.

And the publication note that Olivia is also set to be flying out – for Extra Camp.
