In case you missed it, Netflix last night announced a release date for all four feature-length reunion episodes of Gilmore Girls.
Yes, start cancelling plans for Friday, November 25 right now, Gilmore addicts.
November 25: Miraculously, a date that absolutely no one in Stars Hollow has a conflict with. #AYearintheLifehttps://t.co/EIB96t54cF

The premiere date announcement also came with a short teaser trailer, revolving around a kitchen table chat between Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel).
It sent Gilmore Girls fans into a tizzy, with the more eagle-eyed aficionado analysing the scene in minute detail to try to parse some plot clues for the new series.

So here’s a few things that have been spotted/theorised:
1 ) Prepare to feel REALLY old:
The new series might more or less ignore the ill-fated “lost” seventh and final season, but this new run of episodes are not just picking up where creator Amy Sherman Palladino left off when she departed the show in 2006. It will open up in the present day, meaning everyone has aged in real time.
That means that Rory, who was 16 when the show started in 2000, will now be 32 – which, alarmingly, was the age that Lorelai was when the show first started.

Lorelai was 16 when she had Rory, which [pauses to consult Pass Leaving Cert maths education] will put Lorelai at age 48.
(FYI, Alexis Bledel is 34 in real life, while Lauren Graham is 49).
2 ) All the single ladies?
There’s ne’er a ring on Rory’s hands, suggesting that she is still unmarried. But we also know that all of her former boyfriends on the show – Dean (Jared Padalecki), Logan (Matt Czuchry) and Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) – are all returning, so who knows?!
Of course, the lady has many more things going for her than just a potential husband, but long-time fans can’t sate the appetite for a romantic resolution to Rory’s complicated love life.
*Cough TEAM JESS cough*
Lorelai, on the other hand (literally), seems to be wearing some sort of ring on the fourth finger of her right hand.
Traditionally, the left hand is for the engagement ring, but since when has Lorelai been traditional?
We know that both Luke (Scott Patterson) and Rory’s dad Christopher (David Sutcliffe) are returning, but Graham has been keeping her cards close to her chest when it comes to the status of her character’s romantic life. “She does have a love life,” the actress has said. “I think not all the questions have been answered.”
3 ) BUT there might be a new Gilmore Girl/Boy on the way:
The folks at Bustle have latched onto one particular detail and asks a question that suggests a whole new level of excitement: is Lorelai pregnant?
They point to the fact that Lorelai is wearing a sweater with the very visible slogan ‘I’m With Human’ (even if there seems to be an arrow underneath it pointing elsewhere), as well as the placement of the newspaper in the clip. Could it be disguising a baby bump? Or maybe even resting on one?
All will be revealed on November 25.
