Longitude is one of the best festivals the country has to offer.
It’s so well organised and has some great stages and areas for festival goers to explore. Based in Dublin’s Marlay Park, it’s the perfect weekend for those who love music, food and drink, comedy and all round fun.
If you’ve been before you’ll know that the area itself is really well laid out and everything is in walking distance of the Main Stage, which allows you to explore in between each act to sample all that the festival has to offer.

A lot of the areas, which were there last year, are returning with some exciting changes or additions. Here are our top suggestions for things to do/see at Longitude.
Main Stage
Of course, this is a music festival so the main stage is usually the main attraction with Kendrick Lamar, Major Lazer and The National as the festival’s headliners.
The full line-up has been revealed and broken down by each day, so make note of when your favourite acts are playing and get to the other attractions in between them. Note also that some of the acts will be performing at the other stages at the festival such as Whelan’s Stage and the Heineken Stage.
Whelan’s Live Stage
Whelan’s Live stage is back at Longitude again this year and will showcase some of the finest up and coming bands and artists.
Performing across the weekend are a mixture of international and homegrown acts such as Brooklyn indie pop group Lucius, alt-folk duo Bear’s Den, British singer-songwriter Izzy Bizzu, plus Irish acts such as Daithí, We Cut Corners, our friends Saint Sister, and Pleasure Beach.
Heineken Sound Stage
Each year the Heineken Sound Stage have a brilliant theme, with previous years bringing Irish music fans a taste of Tokyo, Berlin and Brooklyn, and this year they are pulling out all the stops and going Parisian.
This year’s Sound Atlas Paris area sounds great. Throughout the weekend, Sound Atlas will host an array of DJ talent, bringing with them the unique sounds of the French capital. In true Sound Atlas style, festival-goers will also be able to skate around a custom-built roller disco and refuel on donuts.
3Live
The 3Live area will be a hub of entertainment, with DJ sets from Claire Beck and Marcus O’Laoire, 3 Beat Bingo and 3Jukebox. As well as customisable festival experience with personalised phone covers and not to mention the all-important charging station. As well as this, they’ll also have makeup artists ensuring everyone is festival glam.
