Strictly Come Dancing has gained a huge following in recent times with some very famous faces taking to the dance floor.
However, it’s also been branded as a ‘curse’ as some celebrities have broken off their relationships after taking part in the show.
Former England rugby player Ben Cohen split with his wife Abbie and then got together with his dance partner Kristina Rihanoff in 2013 and earlier this year, Louise and Jamie Redknapp’s marriage reportedly ended after her Strictly stint.
To date, ten couples are believed to have split after one person participated in the show.
Now, it’s time for another bout of contestants to perfect the foxtrot and already, one person has been singled out.
Although Eastenders star Davood Ghadami is happily married to his wife Isobel, with whom he has two daughters, he’s apparently been ‘warned’ about the so-called curse.
Davood, better known as Albert Square’s Kush, has been paired with professional dancer Nadiya Bichkova, who has just joined the show (and is also in a happy relationship might we add).
However, this isn’t enough to stop the speculation and people are already putting two and two together and getting twenty.
A source close to SCD spoke to The Sun:
“Everyone has been teasing Davood that he’s bagged the dancer everyone else wanted.
“Nadiya is drop-dead gorgeous. Who wouldn’t want to dance with her. She’s also a top, top dancer having been world champion twice.
“Davood and Nadiya found out earlier this week and are chuffed with the pairing. He’s got a lot to learn and hopes she can teach him a thing or two”.
Here’s hoping 2017 is the year the so-called ‘curse’ is put to bed.
