You learn something new everyday.
Every now and then superfans or eagle-eyed viewers spot something different in movies or programmes. They've spotted numerous errors in
Friends, including the
background extra acting funny, Joey trying to duck
out of shot and Chandler almost
breaking character.
There have also been a few things spotted in
The Simpsons, not surprising because it's been on so long.
Of all the things to notice about the show, Homer's salary would be the last thing we could think of, but someone has managed to work out exactly how much he earns each year.
Although he has trialled many jobs in the 25 seasons of the show, it's been his job as a safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant which has lasted the whole time.
The folks over at
Vox took a screenshot of one of the episodes in season 7 which showed Homer's payslip and from there they have worked it out.

From that they've worked out that Homer’s pretax weekly pay of $479.60 works out to $11.99 an hour, or an annual salary of $24,395.
They adjusted it for inflation which leaves the total at $37,416 per year ,which is worth €33,560.
