Young Kate on This Is Us got herself a seriously impressive pay rise

At just 10 years old, she’s already bringing home the bacon.

This Is Us has been one of the most successful shows of this year and we’re totally hooked. Yes, season two has just returned in the US in recent weeks and we’re dying to see it make its Irish return. The continued success of the family drama has seen some of its stars increasing their take-home pay – even its younger cast members.

Mackenzie Hancsicsak plays the adorable Young Kate on the show and has hustled her way to a huge pay rise for the second season. The 10-year-old was earning an impressive $8,210 (€6,945) per episode for the show’s premiere season.

However, heading into season two, Mackenzie has received a bump in her salary to $12,500 (€10,574) per episode – more than a 50 percent increase. While the young actress will see another increase for the already confirmed season three, it won’t be quite so substantial with her expected to earn $13,000 (€10,997) per episode. Still, it’s pretty impressive for a day’s work.
