Louis Walsh received the ultimate burn from Thom Evans on last night’s X Factor

OUCH.

Louis Walsh was left red-faced on last night’s X Factor when Thom Evans, of boyband Try Star, hit him with a pretty harsh comment.

The trip had been forced to change their song last-minute and so, they ended up performing No Diggity, the same song they had performed way back at their audition in Simon Cowell’s Malibu home at the start of the competition.

That decision left them open to criticism from the judges but it didn’t stop there.

Louis began by saying that performing a song they had already used wasn’t on but he then went on to credit Levi Davis as the main vocalist and Thom and Ben Foden as mere “backing singers”.

You can see where this is going and while you might have heard what Louis said, did you listen to Thom’s serious snap back?

After Dermot O’Leary gave the microphone to the lads to have a final word after judges comments, Thom let rip with:

“Louis, I just want to say with all due respect, you’ve been a backing singer to Simon Cowell for most of your life…”

He didn’t hold back as you can see and of course, the audience loved the drama.

Simon too was keen to show his appreciation for the burn and people watching at home took to social media to point out the comment.

Poor Louis, you can see his point but you have to be prepared for those caustic put-downs when appearing on live TV every Saturday night…
