In the first trailer for Deliver Us from Evil, Eric Bana plays New York cop Ralph Sarchie, on whose 2001 book the film is based. Deliver Us is based on the true account of Sarchie's time investigating crimes with a priest who he was reluctantly teamed up with.
It seems that the idea of basing a horror on a true story will certainly get the crowds in if The Conjuring is anything to go by.
Deliver Us from Evil will be in cinemas on August 22nd.
