“As baking fever sweeps the nation…”
Every year, The Great British Bake Off returns.
And every year, everybody in the entirety of England and Ireland decides that they want to become a professional baker, spending their time creating stunning choux buns and delectable eclairs for the rest of their short lives.
It’s impossible to avoid the hype – and we don’t want to either, tbqhwy.
So much so that the release of the first trailer for the upcoming season of GBBO has gotten us fairly pumped for whenever the show is expected back on our screens.

Released today by Channel 4, the trailer shows an assortment of Brits getting hyped for the series by baking a load of baked goods in a cup of tea, in a hot air balloon, and inside of an oven, naturally.
It also confirms that Noel Fielding, Sandi Toksvig, Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will indeed be returning as the show reaches its third year on C4.
GBBO moved from BBC to the broadcaster in 2017.
It lost former presenters Sue and Mel as well as much loved and respected judge Mary Berry, however the show (thankfully) remained as delightful and lovely as always.
Roll on, eh, whatever date they’re planning on broadcasting this.
