Tributes have been pouring in for Matthew Mindler, who was found dead over the weekend. The former child star had previously been reported missing last week, and after a search effort, his body was recovered yesterday near the campus where he attended college. The 19 year-old was a first-year student at Millersville University in Pennsylvania. His family filed the report after he did not return to his room or answer their calls. He was last seen leaving his dorm room on Tuesday and he didn't show up to his classes the next morning. The cause of death is not yet known, but Mindler's body has been transported to the Lancaster County Forensic Center, where an investigation will take place. A search had been underway for Matthew since Thursday, after he was reported missing. "Matthew was found deceased this morning, Saturday, August 28, in Manor Township near campus. Matthew was transported to the Lancaster County Forensic Center by the coroner for further investigation." They added: "This is a time of grief for the family, our campus and the community. I ask that the campus community come together to support each other, and our students, during this difficult time." The university community joined together in the comments section to pay tribute to the young man, and to pass their condolences on to his friends and family. As a child, Matthew worked as an actor. His most prominent role was in Our Idiot Brother (2011) where he starred as River alongside Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks and Zooey Deschannel. His most recent film appearance was in Chad: An American Boy in 2016.
