“I was really overwhelmed, because it’s just my son in a pink top and for me that’s normality because he loves colour.”

Can we start by saying this is just not cool at all. We do not stan this.

If we could all just let people be who they want to be and wear what they want to wear that would be great, thanks.

Can I also just say, I love pink tops and long hair whether you’re a boy or a girl. Ok, now I’m done. Read on.

TV presenter Emma Willis has revealed that online trolls took aim at her son Ace for wearing a pink top and having long hair. Not cool. The comments came after Emma posted a pic of her son on her Instagram.

She talked about the picture and the reaction on Good Morning Britain, explaining some of the negative comments she received aimed at her song to hosts Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins.

The picture in question is a pretty standard pic of a family home, it shows Ace in the kitchen, wearing a pink t-shirt with jeans and Nike runners, a pretty stylish looking outfit, in my opinion.

She told the morning show “I was really overwhelmed, because it’s just my son in a pink top and for me that’s normality because he loves colour, he’s always had long hair. He’s a very free and open-minded boy. He’s like, ‘well, why do I have to dress in green and blue and grey, if I like pink and red and purple?’ He’s always been that way.”

Emma and her husband Matt Willis have raised their son to be a “very open-minded and inclusive individual. There were a couple of negative bits but the block button is a great thing.”
