That’s what she said.

The US Office is officially returning to Netflix in January, finally giving us something to look forward to amidst the chaos and disappointment that has been 2020.

The series, of course based on the Ricky Jervais creation of the same name, has been absent from Netflix for quite some time while it garnered a whole host of new fans over on Amazon Prime.

But next month, the US Office will finally come back to Netflix… And may very well still be available to watch on Prime too. Who can truly say for sure?

Netflix UK and Ireland announced the news this week, taking to Twitter to share the following: “Oh my god. Okay, it’s happening! Everybody stay calm. Stay calm! Stay F***ING calm!!

“The Office (US) returns to Netflix UK/IE in January. Timely reminder that the UK version is also on Netflix and the Christmas special is ~perfect~.”

Starring Steve Carrell, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Mindy Kaling, BJ Novak, and a whole host of other famous faces, The US Office has become a bit of a cult classic among the mockumentary sitcoms of the world.

Adapted by Greg Daniels for the US in 2o05, the series ran for nine seasons on NBC before eventually coming to its end.

It received mixed reviews during its first season (which largely was a shot-by-shot remake of the UK version), but soon established its own tone as the seasons went on.

The US Office won several major awards including a Peabody Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Golden Globe Award for Carell’s performance, and four Primetime Emmy Awards.

The series finale aired in 2013 and was watched by almost six million viewers.

Since then, cast members have engaged in a number of reunions, their most recent one taking place via Zoom at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
