Viewers were howling at the Cabra girls on Gogglebox last night

Ah, Gogglebox, we've missed you.

Gogglebox has finally returned to our screens and a few fan favourites got a very warm welcome upon their return to our screens.

Fans couldn't get enough of the four girls from Cabra on last night's episode, but it's not unusual for them to have us in bits laughing at every episode.

Fans were worried last week when the newest season aired when friends Grainne, Lindsay, Jamie and Ashley didn't make an appearance on their screens, but not to fear, they weren't gone for long.

The girls sat back, relaxed and chatted all things embarrassing that have ever happened to them in public - no wonder we love them so much.

They also tuned in to watch Virgin Media's new talent show the Big Deal and took in the news that Covid restrictions were easing further.

And fans couldn't get enough of them on their screens, with many taking to Twitter to share their delight that they were back.

One fan wrote: "This week much better now the Cabra girls are back.. Obsessed with them."

Another said: "Thank god for the Cabra girls."

A fourth added: "Perhaps it's a slight indictment of my life, but I'm glad to #Gogglebox #ireland back and the girls in Cabra are straight back to form."

Many others just expressed how much they missed them on their screens every week.

While the girls were welcomed back, a void has been left in most viewers homes when twins Fergal and Neal Tully announced they have parted ways with the fly-on-the-wall series.

Taking to Twitter to announce their departure, Fergal wrote: "It's with a heavy heart to announce that myself and Neal will not be on gogglebox in the near future.

"I could not bring myself to watch tonight as it's like watching your ex shifting your best buddy in the local nightclub."
