The brand new series of Take Me Out continued last night. 30 single ladies lined up to meet different guys for the chance to win a trip to the island of Fernandos.
Viewers were all enjoying the show, until one point when one of the girls gave a fairly odd response to a question. Singleton Shaun managed to keep a few of the girl’s lights on and whittled them down to two.
His final question to them was ‘what animal they would be’ if they had to choose one. Sharlene, who he eventually won a date with, chose Pikachu, because he’s ‘small and fiery’.
Fans of Pokemon and pretty much everyone who grew up in the ’90s will know, firstly, that Pikachu is not an animal and, secondly, that he was not fiery at all.
Her answer did not go down well with viewers at home.
