Don't get caught out.

Ticketmaster has warned customers today about the risk involved in buying tickets for Taylor Swift’s concerts next year from unofficial sellers.

It’s common practice these days for people to buy tickets from touts or people selling them online if they miss out on them on the day of sale. Sometimes the price will be marked up considerably if the tickets are in high demand.

Ahead of the release of Taylor Swift’s second round of tickets for an additional concert in Croke Park next summer, Ticketmaster has warned people not to get caught out by people selling tickets online.

They’ve also added an extra warning about the sale of access codes. While tickets for that show will go on sale to the general public on Friday, December 8 through Ticketmaster outlets, subscribers of TaylorSwift.com will have access to purchase tickets in advance beginning Wednesday, 6 December.

On the codes, they said, “Some unscrupulous sellers are trying to sell Access Codes for the Presale. Only Ticketmaster can generate and distribute codes and you should not trust anyone trying to sell you a code.”

They also said to be wary of ‘speculative listings’, when unofficial sellers list tickets for sale, before they even go on sale, even though they do not actually have those tickets to hand.
