Cassie Delaney

Gardaí confirmed today that a warrant for the arrest of Farther Ted actor Gerard McSorley has been issued.

But before you assume the worst, the arrest is for damaging two flower pots on the Bank of Ireland in Bunbeg in the Donegal Gaeltacht.

Woah, we have a badass over here.

McSorley, now 66, is accused of damaging the pots on June 16th.

The actor was summoned to court today but failed to show.

According to The Irish Mirror, Inspector David Murphy said he was applying for a warrant for the actor’s arrest, defence solicitor Jacqui Sharkey asked for the case to be put back for a second call. The request was granted but an hour later, when the case was called again, Ms Sharkey said she was unable to contact McSorley.

The judge told McSorley’s solicitor arrangements could be made with the gardaí to to serve the arrest with discretion.
