They hit the right note once again.

Irish brothers Sean and Conor Price have officially made it through to the Judges’ Houses round of the X Factor.

The Blessington duo were picked by Simon Cowell in Saturday night’s Six Chair Challenge after a tense moment where the music mogul stopped the brothers’ first song.

The pair started off the audition with a performance of their original song, Something In The Way, before they were asked for their backup.

Cowell stopped the song after just seconds into their performance and said:

“Guys, I’m going to be honest with you. After that, I’m not sure if I’m going to give you a chair.

“So I need to hear another song. What’s your backup?”

And thankfully, they managed to win over the judges with their second original track, Time.

Sharon Osbourne said:

“Conor your confidence is unbelievable. You have a great vibe going on and I love the harmonies. It just worked.”

Louis Walsh added:

“Sean and Conor every time I see you, you get better and better, and with you guys it’s all about the potential.

“You are so young and you’ve got so much to give. You guys have to get a seat.”

Simon, who is the judge of the groups category this year, admitted he could tell the brothers were nervous in the arena setting – before finally telling them to take a seat.

He said:

“Guys, what’s clear is that in the small rooms you were much more comfortable. I think it’s very difficult for people your age to be on a stage this big because you’re showing your nerves.

“So I have to make a decision whether I think this is right for you or too much for you.”

After a moment, he declared:

“Okay, I’ve made a decision. You are going to take the seat.”
