X Factor contestants Lauren Platt (pictured above) and Charlie George (he’s in Only The Young) are both said to be “hurt” after reports claimed there was something romantic going on between them.
The two teenagers, who both survived last night’s shock elimination, have apparently formed a close friendship but an insider shot down rumours that the pair have been flirting and sneaking off together.
They told the Daily Mail: “Lauren and Charlie have a great friendship but there is nothing more to it.
“Lauren is in a long-term relationship and both she and Charlie are hurt that a supportive friendship is being made into something more.”
The Sun newspaper previously quoted a source as saying: “This has been going on for weeks. Charlie has fancied Lauren for a while, and while she isn’t as keen on him, they have been messing around.”
