X Factor to replace Nicole Scherzinger with a MAJOR name

According to reports, Nicole Scherzinger may not return to the X Factor this year and her reported replacement is a name we all recognise.

It seems that Mariah Carey is eager to appear as a judge on the long-running reality show and she's said to be in talks with the show's producers at the moment. According to The Mirror, Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh have all signed new deals with Nicole the only one unsure about another stint on the show. A source told the publication:

"Mariah really wants to do it. Nicole is not committing at the moment, although she did meet up with Simon Cowell this week".

Nicole is thought to have a film deal in the pipeline and this is part of the reason she's holding back on signing a new  X Factor contract. However, Mariah is said to be "really keen" on the role and we have to say that as pop queen of the 90s, our teenage selves would love to see her on the show.
