Yet another twist is coming with Corrie’s Pat Phelan saga

One storyline that needs to finish already.

Earlier this week, we documented how angry fans were at the fact that Pat Phelan has nine lives and always manages to escape the predicaments he finds themselves in. Monday night's episode had fans outraged at the fact that Phelan lived to see another day but it looks like things are set to get even more complicated ahead of his exit from the show. As viewers will know, Pat's illegal apartment scam was unveiled to Eileen last night by Tim and at first, it seemed like she might go to the police. Eileen packed her bags and was just preparing to tell authorities about her evil partner when he arrived, demanding to speak to her. Next thing we know, they're back at home and Phelan is swearing that his nasty ways are behind him.

It's been suggested that the next twist will see Eileen leave Weatherfield although this hasn't yet been confirmed by show producers. Viewers have known for some time that Pat is on the way out but now it looks like Eileen might also join him in a surprise double exit. Of course, she doesn't yet know about the violent crimes he's committed so here's hoping that the truth is revealed before she decides to leave the cobbles. Last night saw fans frustrated at her decision and expressed their anger at the fact that Phelan had duped Eileen yet again. Roll on the next episode so we can get to the end of this storyline for once and for all...
