You’s Jenna Ortega cast in upcoming high school tragedy drama, The Fallout

Hopefully she'll get a better ending this time around.

You's Jenna Ortega has been cast in upcoming high school tragedy, The Fallout.  The 17 year old actor, who is best known for playing Ellie Alves in the Netflix series, will star in the upcoming drama as Vada, a teenager who struggles to adapt to her new life in the wake of a school tragedy. According to Deadline, the new project is being produced by Clear Horizon and written and directed by actor Megan Park. The film will be Park's directorial debut. “With The Fallout we continue to grow our company and add to the outstanding slate for Clear Horizon," said the company's David Brown. "We are thrilled to be working with Park’s powerful project, and bringing it to audiences in markets globally." Ortega met an unfortunate end in the last season of You after her character's sister was brutally murdered and she was shipped off to another city by Joe. The actor's other ventures haven't been quite as dismal though, as she also played young Jane on Jane the Virgin, and Harley Diaz on the Disney Channel series Stuck in the Middle. She has also appeared in films Insidious: Chapter 2, Saving Flora, and The Little Rascals Save The Day.
