A mum has been slammed for asking people to edit her stepson out of professional family photos – as she said they were for “full family” only.

The woman took to Facebook to seek help to change the photos, which showed her, her husband and three children in matching jeans and red-and-black checkered shirts.

“Is there any way y’all could remove the kid to the right in these pictures? He’s my stepson and I love these pictures of us together but I also didn’t get any good ones [of just my] two without him,” she said [via The Sun].

The photo in question shows the stepson sitting on the edge of the blanket, with the mum holding her two children on her lap.

“Also remove him from the full family pictures please. Thanks in advance,” she added.

The original post seemed to spark a massive reaction amongst her Facebook followers, as the woman added an edit.

“I love my stepson but I do want some without him in them,” she said. “I already posted these ones but I just want to have it both ways.”

The screenshots were reshared onto Reddit, where many people shared their sympathies for the stepson.

“Imagine how that child felt. I bet he noticed he wasn’t included like the other two,” someone commented.

“I mean, look how far he’s already sitting from her and the others,” another person added. “I’m a step mom and this breaks my heart.”
