So fancy…

There’s just something lovely about afternoon tea, isn’t there? I mean, when else do you set aside a solid two hours in the afternoon to eat cake, drink tea, and maybe even have a glass of bubbly or two?

We’ve selected four of the most amazing afternoon teas you have to try at least once in your life. While some are close to home, others are more of a holiday treat.

Don’t forget to put your pinky out.

The g Hotel & Spa, Galway

The five-star g Hotel & Spa in Galway is the perfect place to go for a girlie afternoon tea with a difference. The hotel has brought back it’s gorgeous Floral Afternoon Tea in collaboration with Valdo Rosé Prosecco to celebrate the start of summer and it’s an absolute steal at only €46 for two people.

Guests are able to relax in their perfect signature lounges and enjoy indulgent treats like freshly bakes scones with clotted cream, white chocolate hibiscus and pistachio brownies, and colourful macaroons. Why not bring your mum? She would absolutely love it.

Sketch, London

Sketch is a quirky 18th-century townhouse tearoom that transforms into a cocktail lounge every evening. A firm favourite among Instagram-seeking travel bloggers, Sketch is famous for its unusual interiors and brilliant food. Their afternoon tea is a real treat but you can’t book it in advance so be prepared to wait.

Burj Khalifa, Dubai

Afternoon tea in the tallest restaurant in the world? Don’t mind if we do. The high tea in the Burj Khalifa screams luxury from the moment you walk in. Guests are treated to a three-course afternoon tea with all the trimmings. As you can imagine, the Burj Khalifa is rather pricey but it is worth it for a once-in-a-lifetime experience and those amazing views over Dubai.

Ritz-Carlton, Central Park, New York

Glamour, amazing food, and breathtaking views of Central Park, what more could you possibly want? The Ritz-Carlton is famous all over the world for its high-end accommodation but the hotel also does a fantastic afternoon tea, complete with warm scones, shrimp sandwiches, and red velvet cakes. YUM!
