Krispy Kreme has launched 3 vegan doughnuts

We’ve been waiting for this.

For those of us following a plant-based diet – or even just those who have signed up to do Veganuary this year – we have been patiently waiting for Krispy Kreme to bring out a vegan version of their delicious doughnuts.

And now, it seems our prayers have been answered.

Keen to offer an option plant-based foodies can enjoy, Krispy Kreme has officially launched new vegan doughnuts, and will offer them in three different flavours: Fudge Brownie Bliss, Caramel Choc Delight and Apple Custard Crumble.

  • Fudge Brownie Bliss (€ 3.05) – with a rich chocolatey filling and topped with brownie pieces
  • Caramel Choc Delight (€ 3.05) – which contains both Belgian chocolate and indulgent caramel fillings, topped with caramel icing and a chocolatey icing drizzle
  • Apple Custard Crumble (€ 3.05) – filled with smooth custard and apple then topped with a golden cinnamon crumble

As with every other doughnut from Krispy Kreme, the new vegan doughnuts will also be made fresh daily. Every. Single. Day – no matter where you get them.

“We are really excited to bring this range to customers and spread a little joy in January and are confident it delivers on the irresistible taste we are known and loved for whilst being accessible to a broader network of customers,” Louise Direito, Krispy Kreme UK and Ireland’s Head of Innovation, said in a statement.

Krispy Kreme’s new doughnuts are certified vegan by UK’s The Vegan Society and represent the first time that Krispy Kreme has offered a vegan version of its filled doughnuts.

“The Vegan Trademark team are thrilled to see Krispy Kreme expanding their vegan options and making them available across the country, Ericka Durgahee, Marketing Manager at The Vegan Society, said.

“They’ve gone the extra mile to verify their vegan claims with the gold standard in vegan labelling. Those looking for a fresh and tasty doughnut can have peace of mind that no animal ingredients have been used in their creation.”

The awesome new and made-fresh-daily range will be available to purchase in Swords Pavilion, Blanchardstown, The Rocket at Dundrum Town Centre, at any Krispy Kreme cabinet in Tesco and Circle K, added to a Choose Your Own dozen for Click & Collect, or via delivery partners including Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat meaning that the joy of irresistible freshness is available almost instantaneously to doughnut fans across Ireland.
