We’re literally DROOLING at Roz Purcell’s cookie dough protein ball recipe

Amy Nolan

They couldn’t be simpler to make too.

Roz Purcell has got to be on a joint throne with Deliciously Ella when it comes to making healthy food exceptionally tasty.

Under the name Natural Born Feeder, which originally started as a blog, Roz now has multiple cookbooks under her belt.

And she still shares plenty of delectable recipes on her Instagram – the latest of which we’re shopping for the ingredients to make tonight!

To make Roz’s cookie dough protein balls all you need is:

Ingredients:
1 x tin (400g) chickpeas rinsed and drained
35g oats (you can use GF oats here too)
5 tbsp. maple syrup
4 tbsp smooth or crunchy peanut butter
60g protein powder
60g dark chocolate chips

To make them:

Place the oats in a food processor and blend into a thick flour consistency. Add the rest of the ingredients (except for the chocolate chips) and blend on high until a smooth dough texture is formed. Tip the dough into a bowl and stir in the chocolate chips. Using your hands roll into balls.

Roz says that these can be stored in the fridge for up to six days and we think they’d be ideal as a pre-workout snack or totally handy for popping a few into a container and bringing to work (extra points for bringing in some for coworkers!)

We’re definitely making them tonight!
