M&S have launched cheese Easter eggs and they sound too gouda to eat

M&S have launched cheese Easter eggs and they sound too gouda to eat.

It may not feel like it, but after a March that has seemed to go on forever, April is almost here. Which also means that Easter  is just around the corner.

And while M&S have launched a series of sweeter treats to mark the holiday, they have also launched some cheese Easter eggs.

The cheesy treat comes in two different sizes: the pack of six Mini Cheesy Eggs (€12.50) or the Big Cheesy Egg (€11.80).

The wax covered mini eggs are made from Barber’s farmhouse cheddar and even have a vintage Red Leicester ‘yolk’ middle.

Each egg has been hand-dipped in a duck-egg blue wax ‘shell’ and is roughly the size of a large hen egg, while the mini ‘eggs’ even come in a realistic cardboard egg carton.

“Delicious as it is, we know not everyone loves chocolate. Those with a more savoury-tooth can sometimes feel left out of the fun at Easter, so this year, we wanted to create a must-have gift for cheese lovers too,” M&S Product Developer, Rosie Eiduks said.

She advised serving it on an Easter lunch cheese board, sliced into a sandwich or salad, or loaded on top of crackers.

If you’re looking for something sweet rather than savoury, Baileys’ Strawberries & Cream Chocolate Egg is the much-needed treat we need for Easter 2020.

And Lir have launched a brand new Easter egg range (and it sounds totally egg-cellent).
