A woman has gone viral for sharing her ‘dinosaur egg’ trick that keeps avocados fresher for longer.
TikTok user @marg13d first shared the video at the end of last month, and it has been viewed more than 160,000 times since then.
In the video, she notes that the trick is for people who aren’t using a lot of avocado at one time, but who rather eat it in smaller pieces.
“This is how to cut your avocado so it doesn’t go bad when you’re only using a little piece of it every day,” she says.
Basically, what you have to do is cut off the top – scooping out the avocado from the inside of the small piece – and then “dig right in there and scrape out what you do want to use”.
Just make sure you leave the rest of the peel on, and the rest of the avocado with the seed. You then place the remainder of the avocado into a plastic container and pop it in the fridge.
