Everybody’s been hopping on the meat-free, veggie, and vegan trains these days.
And with good reason too. Meat-free and plant based diets are better for your body, better for your health, better for the environment, and better for animals.
Essentially, they’re pretty good and fair play if you’ve managed to reduce your meat intake this year. You done good.
But if you haven’t managed to cut back on your meat – of if you have but you are desperately craving a big, juicy burger – never fear because a vegan patty that looks and tastes exactly like meat is now for sale in Tesco.
Hold us, please.
The Beyond Burger is part of the Beyond Meat family and you’d literally be forgiven for thinking that you were chowing down on a load of cow as soon as this bad boy enters your body.
You’re not though. The Beyond Burger in, in fact, made from pea protein, coconut oil, and beet juice to give it that terrifyingly real meat-like look.
The patties are frozen and sold “raw” so you can head off home and cook them up as you would a regular old burger. They’re full of protein and are even free from GMOs, soy or gluten.
If the above info isn’t enough to convince you, here’s a taste of some customer reviews. Spoilers: they’re pretty positive and also simultaneously making us quite hungry at the same time.
