The real capital.

If you want to experience the best cocktail bar in Ireland as voted by the public, it’s to Cork you’ll be heading, as Cask on MacCurtain St in Cork won the prestigious honour of Best Cocktail Bar 2018 at the annual Irish Craft Cocktail Awards 2018 (the 2019 winner has yet to be announced).

Scooping prizes for the second year in a row, Cask, which is relatively new to the Cork eatery scene won a staggering five awards on the night also including Best Bar Team and Outstanding Cocktail Menu. And what a menu it is, Cask features a wide range of cocktails with intricate ingredients and a finish that’s Instagram perfection.

Feeling peckish? The restaurant and bar also provide loads of bites to have while you sip. We’re talking breads and dips, chicken wings, pizzas and cheese boards.

Yum.

Speaking on their big awards win last Chirstmas, bar manager of Cask, Andy Ferreira said:

“I’m thrilled for everyone involved in Cask, and particularly for Carl who is one of the most talented, humble and creative bartenders on the scene. Winning Best Overall Cocktail Bar for a second year running is an amazing feeling.”
