*Furiously cleans wallet and everything in it*
A new study that was carried out in the University of Mauritius has found that over 90 per cent of purses and wallets carry bacteria on them.
According to the research purses can pick up germs from bathrooms and other areas.
However, because they are so rarely cleaned, they can therefore prove to be a health hazard.
It’s time to get cleaning those purses!
Researchers examined 145 purses for the study, with a whopping 95.2 per cent of these found to have bacteria on them.
“Purses from both men and women are potential vectors for transmission of diseases,” the research which appeared in the journal Advanced Biomedical Research claims, according to the Daily Mail.
“Bacteria growth was higher on the purses of women than on those of men.”
